Roland Youakim is the Founder and Director of Platinum People Group, a specialist recruitment firm partnering with mortgage brokerages, non-bank lenders, fintechs and financial services businesses across Australia.

With close to two decades in recruitment, Roland is known for a thoughtful, straight-talking approach built on trust, long-term relationships, and doing things properly. He works closely with founders and leadership teams to understand not just the role they’re hiring for, but where their business is heading, ensuring people are aligned on capability, values, and ambition.

As a parent, Roland brings a grounded perspective to his work, recognising that careers sit alongside family, pressure, and real life. This lens shapes how he advises both clients and candidates, with a strong focus on sustainability, leadership, and long-term growth.

Outside of work, Roland can usually be found with his wife and daughter, out on the trails training for ultra runs, reading endurance stories, or hunting down Melbourne’s best brunch spots.
